Four crews tackle fire at Drax Power Station

Four crews were called to a fire at Drax Power Station last night (Thursday).

Firefighters from Selby, Tadcaster, Goole and Snaith went to the incident at the plant, on New Road, Drax, near Selby, at 9.53pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews attended an incident involving a contained fire.

“Crews used a thermal imaging camera and lighting to assess the fire and left with an on site team to monitor throughout the evening.”
