Flooding in York home causes ceiling collapse

Fire crews were called to flooding in a York home early this morning (Wednesday).

Acomb firefighters went to the property at 12.19am

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to flooding inside a property caused by a water leak which had caused approximately one square metre of ceiling to collapse.

“The crew isolated the electrics and contacted the housing association who were attending to rectify the leak.”
