A York shop has shut for good and become online only.
Dog & Bone, the vintage shop on Castlegate, traded for the final time yesterday.
A sign on the door now says: “This store is now permanently closed… Please visit dogandbonevintage.com for all your vintage needs”.
Work to move the stock out of the store will take place in the coming days.
Announcing the closure in May, shop founder Nic Barker said: “Unfortunately retail is tough on the high street these days, as people increasingly move online to buy their goods.
“I have loved having a physical space to sell our wares, but like so many other retail outlets, the decrease in trade because of online shopping has simply made the in store experience impossible.”
He added: “The online side of Dog & Bone isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s where we’re putting everything now – and where the real treasure lives. Decades of hunting, the rarer finds, the absolute best of what comes through our hands.”

Castlegate has been going through a number of changes recently. It has lost two places to eat alongside Dog & Bone.
The Pairings wine bar shut in January after ten years as sister owners Kate Latham and Kelly Gamble said “there is no viable route that allows us to continue trading at this time”.
And Clucking Oinks closed its Castlegate venue at the end of May as owners Mike and Rachel Brand said “unfortunately with the climate and situation of hospitality in the UK the way it is we’ve decided to diversify into a different direction”.
But there has been a recent opening as Cafe Shiraz opened on the street this month offering a “taste of Persia”.
