Firefighters use saw to rescue dog trapped under a bath

It’s not only cats up trees.

Firefighters came to the rescue of a dog trapped under a bath last night (Thursday).

It happened in the village of Maunby, north of Thirsk, at 8.31pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northallerton’s crew were requested to a property with a dog that had become stuck under a free standing bath.

“Crews used a reciprocating saw and crew power to free the dog and reunite him with his owners.”
