Crews were called to what they believe to be a fire started deliberately in Sherburn in Elmet.
Tadcaster firefighters tackled a bin on fire outside Highfield Villas at 1.19am today (Monday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to monitor for hotspots.

“Police were also requested to attend as the fire was believed to have been started deliberately.”
