Firefighters were called to an incident in Clifton, York, yesterday evening (Thursday).
An Acomb crew responded to a fire in the open on Water Lane at 5.50pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a small fire consisting of pallet wood.

“Crews used two backpack sprayers to extinguish the fire. The cause was deliberate and the police were informed.”
