Fire crews from Acomb assisted paramedics to remove a casualty from the city walls this afternoon.
They had fallen and suffered a broken ankle.
Crews used the aerial ladder platform to help to move the casualty into an ambulance to be taken to hospital.
It happened at around 2pm this afternoon (Thursday 23 July)
No further details have been released so far.
