Fire crews were called out to an incident in York early today (Monday).
A calendar on a bedroom wall of a home in Haxby caught fire. The flames spread to a footstool.
Firefighters from Huntington and York were called out at 2.30am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire was out on the arrival of crews but there was smoke logging to the bedroom and a corridor.
“Crews used positive pressure ventilation and two breathing appartus sets.”
