Fire crews rescue dog from York house fire

Firefighters are currently tackling a fire at a house in York.

Crews from York and Acomb fire stations have been called out to the fire, at an address as yet undisclosed.

They were called today (Friday) at 4.16pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “No persons inside property, though, for the second time today, a dog rescued from property by firefighters.

“Fire now extinguished, ventilation of premises taking place. Fire investigation about to commence.”
