A crew from Harrogate had to remove two rings from someone’s finger which required urgent attention.
At 22:15 last night, they had to use ring cutters and small tools.
Meantime near York, firefighters were called out to a village after a fire in the corner of a field.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said its Ripon crew were called to Sand Hutton at 4.31pm yesterday (July 18) after reports of a haybale on fire in the corner of a field.
They used knapsack sprayers and a bucket of water to extinguish.
