‘Exquisite’ country house near York goes on sale for £4.95m

An ‘exquisite’ country house near York dating from the 1700s and set in 9.5 acres of grounds has gone on sale for £4.95 million.

Kirk Hammerton Hall is one of the most expensive properties to come onto the market in the area in recent years.

It features six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a self-contained apartment.

There are also four reception rooms, a large family kitchen and a gym in the cellars.

Found in the village of Kirk Hammerton, halfway between York and Knaresborough, the home is on sale with Savills.
