Firefighters tackled a fire at the top of a telegraph pole early this morning (Wednesday).
It happened on Spring Gardens, Boroughbridge at 4.47am.
Firefighters from Knaresborough responded to the fire at the top of an 8ft telegraph pole.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews pitched a triple exterior ladder and extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher.
“A thermal check using a thermal imaging camera was conducted after to confirm the fire was fully extinguished.
“The incident was then left with an electrical engineer enroute to inspect superficial fire damage to electrical housing and restore power to local residents.”
