The inquest has opened into the death of a man whose body was discovered in a field in Easingwold.
Robert Rees-Hughes was reported missing on 29 November last year.
It sparked a major search for the 35-year-old. His body was discovered on open land at Easingwold on 17 April.
Today North Yorkshire assistant coroner Catherine Devereux opened the inquest into Mr Rees-Hughes’ death at Northallerton Coroners Court.
She said his body was found at Hanover Farm, Easingwold.
The provisional medical cause of death was cocaine toxicity.

Mr Rees-Hughes was born in Doncaster and was living at West Cliffe Terrace, Harrogate, at the time of his death.
He was last seen in Easingwold at around 3.10pm on Saturday, 29 November. North Yorkshire Police said he had a gash to the top of his head.
They released CCTV images taken that day of Mr Rees-Hughes on Crabmill Lane in the town.
His family described him as “the most gentle and loving person” and said his disappearance was out of character.
Mr Rees-Hughes was identified by Dr Roland Kouble, a forensic odontologist, on 20 April.
Ms Devereux adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
