Works affecting bus stops outside York Station begin tonight (Friday).
Bus stops near the station are set to be out of use from 8pm tonight to 6am on Monday, July 6 for works to strengthen road surfaces.
Station Road and Queen Street outside the station will remain open to two-way traffic over the weekend and alternative bus stops are set to be in place.
Cllr Kate Ravilious, City of York Council’s Labour transport spokesperson, said significant progress had been made on the project throughout June as officials work to keep disruption to a minimum.
Temporary traffic lights are set to be in place over the weekend, along with bus diversions.
A shuttle bus service is set to run between Blossom Street, the station and Station Road.

She said: “In spite of the wide range of weather conditions we’ve experienced in June, significant progress has been made.
“With the road resurfaced and with more and more areas gradually opening up over the next few weeks people will start to feel more of the benefits of this project.”
