A North Yorkshire attraction has closed its gardens and there are flood warnings in place as Storm Chandra arrives.
Strong winds and heavy rain are battering York and North Yorkshire and there’s a weather warning for rain covering the Yorkshire Dales.
The Humber Bridge is shut to high-sided vehicles due to wind.
Snow in the Pennines has shut the A66 between Bowes and Brough too.
LNER says strong winds also mean trains between York and Edinburgh are running at reduced speeds north of Alnmouth.

Parts of Castle Howard are shut today. The attraction posted: “We are closing the gardens, shops and cafés on Tuesday 27th January, due to forecasted high winds.
“This includes the garden centre, farm shop, Courtyard Café, coffee shop, ticket office, grounds and Skelf Island Adventure Playground.
“We are due to reopen as normal on Wednesday 28th January.”
No flood warnings are now in place for York. The River Ouse is forecast to peak at 3.71m at 4.30pm today. The top of the normal range is 1.9m.
There is a flood warning for North Sea coast at Bridlington – Harbour Road and Floral Pavilion.

Met Office chief forecaster Paul Gundersen said: “With a complex spell of weather, its important people stay up to date with the forecast and any warnings in your area.”
Another weather warning for Ice will come into force at midnight and covers the whole of North Yorkshire.
