Firefighters were called to a smoke-filled home in York last night (Wednesday).
A crew from Acomb went to the incident on Redmires Close at 9.15pm.
They were responding to a report from a neighbour that a smoke alarm was sounding next door

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival of the crews this was found to be a pan that had been left on the cooker unattended.
“Crews used positive pressure ventilation to clear the smoke from the property.”
Later, at 10.20pm, the crew put out a bin on fire on The Green, Acomb, with a bucket of water.
