A woman suffered a serious injury in a crash on the A1M.
It happened near Leeming Bar at about 7.15am yesterday (New Year’s Day).
A white Hyundai i20 hatchback crashed on the southbound carriageway. No other vehicle was involved.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The vehicle’s four occupants were taken to hospital by ambulance for assessment, with one passenger, a woman in her 20s, suffering a serious hand injury. All four are in a stable condition.
“Lane one of the motorway was closed to allow safe recovery of the vehicle while emergency services worked at the scene.
“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the Hyundai prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.”
