A woman had to go to hospital after suffering a head injury in York city centre last night (Sunday).
A Malton fire crew on standby in York responded to the incident on Monkgate at 11.17pm.
A woman had fallen onto the road.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The female was given first aid by crews until the arrival of paramedics.
“She was then transported to hospital to have stitches for a head injury.”
