A woman in her 80s was seriously injured when the bus she was travelling on collided with a hit-and-run driver.
It happened at the junction of Station Avenue and Leeman Road in York, between 11.25am and 11.35am yesterday (Tuesday 30 December).
A single decker bus and an orangey-red coloured car crashed. The car did not stop at the scene.

The injured passenger suffered a broken pelvis and is being treated in hospital.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for any witnesses to the incident, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the incident, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact us.
“The driver of the car may not have realised they had been involved in a serious injury collision. If this was you or you know who it could be, please get in touch without delay.”
