Watch: York movie filmed at new location with Game Of Thrones star

Filming on the star-studded Christmas movie in York has moved to a new location today (Friday).

The cast and crew are now working in Precentor’s Court, in the shadow of York Minster.

Scenes for the film Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint have been shot for last few days in Colliergate.

Today though (Friday), the action is centred around a property on the exclusive street.

Game Of Thrones star John Bradley was on set, playing the title role of Aubrey Flint. He was seen sprinting down Precentor’s Court towards the Minster.

A crowd were gathered near the cathedral’s West Front to watch the film crew at work.

It’s not the first time Precentor’s Court – one of York’s most expensive places to live – has featured on screen.

In the Channel 4 crime drama Patience the street is home to the main character, played by Ella Maisy Purvis. They were filming scenes there for the second series in June.

Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint is a comedy which sees festive sceptic Aubrey forced to stage a production of A Christmas Carol with the residents of a retirement home.

As well as Bradley, who played Samwell Tarly in Game of Thrones, the movie features other big names, Richard E Grant, Celia Imrie and Nigel Planer among them.

Earlier this week, Richard E Grant was seen filming scenes inside a Tudor-era shop on Colliergate.
