The giant chocolate car measures an impressive five metres in length, two metres in width and weighs around 350kg.
Scott Coles, managing director for Nestlé Confectionery in the UK and Ireland, said: “We’re incredibly proud to bring this spectacular F1 inspired chocolate car home to York, the birthplace of KitKat.
“This city has been at the heart of our brand for generations and sharing such a unique celebration of creativity and craftsmanship with the community means a great deal to us, as does our partnership with Formula 1.”

Crafted over 1,254 hours and led by master chocolatier, Jen Lindsey-Clark, the car is equal to the equivalent of more than 16,900 two-finger KitKats. Every inch of the car has been meticulously sculpted with precision and artistry.
York is also the home of Nestlé’s R&D Centre, a global hub for innovation in confectionery.
Visitors who came to see the car were able to try KitKat’s new limited-edition miniature replica chocolate car, now available nationwide.
Featuring a chocolatey filling and crispy cereal pieces, the product showcases York’s world-class confectionery expertise.
