Victim racially abused on main York road

Police have released these images after a victim was racially abused on a busy York road.

It happened outside the BP garage on Lawrence Street at about 7.45pm on Sunday 12 April.

Two men approached the victim in an aggressive manner and made racially abusive comments.

The suspects are believed to have travelled to the area from Hull Road.

Suspect one is

  • a man
  • around 50 years old
  • 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall
  • slim
  • and bald.

He was wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.

Suspect two is

  • a man
  • around 50 years old
  • 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall
  • slim
  • with grey slicked-back hair.

He was wearing a jacket and blue jeans.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are particularly keen to identify these individuals and would like to hear from anyone who recognises them, saw them in the area, noticed anything suspicious, or may have information about any vehicles they were using.”
