Another fast food restaurant has its eyes on York.
Popeyes Chicken looks set to open a branch in the city centre.
It is now advertising for a general manager for York – with a postcode which puts the new store in the Church Street area.
Popeyes serves chicken “marinated for 12 hours in our signature blend of Louisiana herbs & spices” as burgers, wings and wraps.
The company began in 1972 when the first branch opened in New Orleans. It came to the UK in 2021 when a branch opened in London.
It has several branches in Yorkshire, including two in Leeds.
The York general manager job is permanent and comes with a salary of £37,000, up to £44,000 per year bonus.
“As a General Manager, you’ll take charge of your restaurant, leading from the front and inspiring your team to deliver world-class food and unforgettable guest experiences,” the job ad says.
