‘Call us straight away if you see them’ – that’s the message from police hunting for three men tonight (Monday).
They are urgently searching for the men who made off from officers on the A19 east of Northallerton this afternoon.
A black Ford Kuga car failed to stop for police and was found abandoned at the Tontine, near Osmotherley, shortly before 3pm.
Officers originally said they were seeking two men who are believed to have been in the car, and may still be in the area. But now they believe three were involved.
One man is described as white, with a dark beard. The other man is described as Asian, with dark hair and a beard.
Police are urging anyone who has seen two men in the area matching that description – or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage – to call police straight away.
