Police today issued an appeal for witnesses to a crash which left two people fighting for their lives.
It happened at the junction between the A167 Darlington Road and the B1263 near Northallerton at about 6.30pm on Thursday (9 April).
A Honda CB500 motorbike was travelling west along the A167 and a grey VW Polo car was turning right from the B1263.
Crash location
Both the motorbike rider and pillion passenger sustained significant, life threatening injuries and are in hospital.
Both occupants of the VW Polo also sustained significant injuries. One remains in hospital.
The road remained closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation work and recovery to take place.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “If anyone witnessed the collision, or has any dashcam footage from that area around the time of the collision, and leading up to it, please get in touch.”
