Two crews put out fire in York home

York firefighters were called to an incident at a home in the city last night (Wednesday).

Crews from York and Huntington responded to the incident at Reighton Avenue at 8.18pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said it was a fire in the utility room “which suffered extensive fire damage.

“Fire extinguished using hose reels with fire investigation to recommence tomorrow in daylight.”
