Theo, who’s from Leeds, gained national attention as a contestant on the first series of The Traitors UK, quickly becoming a memorable figure in the hit BBC series known for its twists, strategy and psychological gameplay.

Now Theo swaps the castle for the stage, joining York Stage’s company to tell one of the most
powerful true stories in modern musical theatre.

Come From Away tells the remarkable real-life story of 38 planes that were diverted to the
small town of Gander, Newfoundland on September 11, 2001, when US airspace suddenly closed. Almost overnight the town’s population doubled as thousands of stranded passengers arrived with nowhere to go. What followed was an extraordinary display of kindness, as the local community welcomed the travellers into their homes and lives.

York Stage’s production is directed by Nik Briggs. “We’re thrilled to welcome Theo to the company,” said Nik. “He brings a fantastic energy and stage presence to the role of Bob, and we know audiences are going to love seeing him as part of this incredibly moving story.”

To celebrate the production, York Stage has also launched a special Golden Seat Giveaway in partnership with local travel specialists Heritage Collection Travel. One lucky audience member attending the show will win flights to Newfoundland, offering the chance to experience the real-life setting of the story.

Come From Away runs at the Grand Opera House York from 10–18 April. Tickets start from £15.40 and are available here.
