The Met Office has issued a Thunderstorm Yellow Alert for North Yorkshire tomorrow.
Many areas will miss the worst they say, but thunderstorms could bring disruption in places during late tonight into Friday morning.
The weather radar shows a band of rain moving across the country in a north east direction from 0400 tomorrow morning.
Thunderstorms may produce sudden, gusty winds with 50 to 60 mph possible. Frequent lightning, hail and heavy rain (possibly 15-20 mm in an hour) are additional hazards.
