Three-vehicle crash in Selby leaves driver with neck, arm and rib injuries

A driver was taken to hospital after being injured in a three-vehicle crash in Selby today (Monday).

Emergency services were called to the A63 Selby bypass, near the Greencore roundabout, at 8.40am.

Fire crews from York and Selby went to the scene.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews released one person from a vehicle, who was taken to hospital via road ambulance suffering suspected rib, arm and neck injuries.

“Both drivers of the other vehicles were out on arrival of crews, and uninjured. Crews stabilised the vehicles, released the casualty and made the vehicles safe.”

One lane of the road was closed while 999 crews worked at the scene. It has since reopened.
