Three people have appeared at court facing a series of charges following incidents in Scarborough on Sunday night.
Police were called to three reports of criminal damage in the town.
The first, at 11.18pm, was at a property on Grange Avenue, Filey.
Another property was then damaged at West Street in Scarborough.
The third took place on Hoxton Road in Scarborough where a car rammed into the house.
No one was hurt in the incidents, which police described as “linked and targeted”.
After a police investigation, three people from Hartlepool appeared in court today (Tuesday).
- Damian Hadfield, 29 – charged with conspiracy to blackmail, conspiracy to damage or destroy property, possessing a knife in a public place
- Suzanne Allen, 44 – charged with conspiracy to blackmail, conspiracy to damage or destroy property, possessing a knife in a public place, and dangerous driving
- A 17-year-old boy – charged with conspiracy to blackmail, conspiracy to damage or destroy property, possessing a knife in a public place.
The three defendants are due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on 18 August.
A 51-year-old woman who was also arrested remains in police custody for questioning.
