Yes, the festival of frozen is back – with crowds of people heading into York to try to find all the 30-plus ice sculptures dotted the city.
Staged by Make It York, This year’s theme is the Enchanted City.

New for 2026, the Ice Village has opened alongside the trail, bringing together family-friendly fun and themed traders offering treats and warming street food.
Ice carving masterclasses are also taking place, giving participants the chance to watch skilled sculptors in action and learn this amazing art.
