Firefighters are battling a blaze next to an air base this afternoon.
A building on a farm at Leeming is on fire.
One local resident said it’s the farm “over the road” from RAF Leeming, although there’s no suggestion of a threat to the base.
Multiple fire crews are in attendance. Thick clouds of black smoke can be seen for miles.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire crews are currently in attendance at an agricultural building on fire in the Leeming area.
“The fire is producing lots of black smoke, please keep windows and doors closed.”
