A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of drugs related offences after a moped was seen speeding through Selby
Just before midnight last night, officers attempted to stop a moped because it was suspected to be involved in criminal activity in the area.
A pursuit began, but the vehicle made off down a narrow walkway.
Shortly afterwards, a man was located at an address connected to the moped.
He pointed officers to another address where the moped had been left, and it was subsequently recovered.
A 19-year-old man from Castleford was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving; driving without insurance; driving while over the legal limit for a specified controlled drug; and possession of a Class B drug.
He has been released while enquiries continue.
