Detectives investigating a reported rape in York city centre have given an update tonight. (Thursday 18 June)
They say tonight that a man whose CCTV image was released earlier has now come forward.
They wanted to trace him as they believed that he would have vital information to help with the case.
They are still looking for witnesses, information and video footage. It happened on Bar Lane in the Micklegate area at around 10pm on Tuesday.
If you have not yet come forward, please do so as soon as possible, say officers.
