A man was attacked in a suspected hate-related crime at a York nightclub.
It happened at Kuda on Clifford Street between 1am and 1.45am on Saturday 16 December.
The victim, a 24-year-old man, suffered a split lip. He was taken to York Hospital by his friends where he was treated and discharged.
The victim reported that he believed the assault related to his sexual orientation.
North Yorkshire Police issued an image of a man they wanted to talk to.
On Wednesday evening, they shared this update: “The man in the CCTV image has come forward this evening and is assisting officers with the investigation.”
