Johannes Radebe: Finally Home is at the Grand Opera House York on Wednesday 9 June 2027.
It’s already been a big year for JoJo. He became a British citizen, made his West End debut and stepped into his dream role as host of Strictly Come Dancing. Yet one thing remains unchanged: Johannes was born to dance.
Johannes said: “People have been asking if I won’t be dancing anymore…darling, I’m just getting started!
“Bringing this tour FINALLY HOME across the UK and Ireland is my way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported my journey.
“So come ready for joy, fun and celebration, because we’re bringing the biggest party to your town and I cannot wait to dance with you all!”
Born in Zamdela Sasolburg, Johannes started dancing at the age of 7. At the age of 21, Johannes left South Africa to work on the internationally renowned Italian cruise liner Costa and in 2018, he was invited to join the debut season of the international hit show, Dancing With The Stars, in South Africa.
He toured the world in international dance show Burn The Floor before being head-hunted by Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and moved to London to dance on the flagship BBC show, from which he has become the breakout star. In 2021, he was partnered with John Whaite and together reached the final in this groundbreaking same-sex partnership.
Johannes can currently be seen playing the iconic role of Lola in Kinky Boots at the London Coliseum in the West End, marking his West End and musical theatre debut.
Tickets for Johannes Radebe: Finally Home at the Grand Opera House York are available here, starting from £42.
