The emergency services have completed their work between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace, allowing all lines to reopen.
There were trespassers on the line earlier.
Trains running, in both directions, from York, Harrogate, Northallerton, Selby and Thirsk will still face issues until later this evening.
As services recover, trains may continue to be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
