Crews were called out twice to a skip set on fire in York last night (Sunday).
They were first called to Front Street in Acomb at 8.22pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a commercial skip containing cardboard which was on fire.
Front Street, Acomb, York
“Crews extinguished using one hose reel jet and a 70mm hose. Cause believed deliberate.”
They were called out to the skip on fire again at 11.05pm and again put out the flames.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service now routinely report deliberate fires to the police.
