It’s got music. It’s got food. It’s got events. But most of all AcombFest has got lots and lots of art.
York’s first street art festival has brought a buzz to Acomb with spectacular sights and dozens of things to do.
Hundreds of people have flocked to the many venues taking part today.
Months in the planning, AcombFest started yesterday and runs till tomorrow.
Organisers Art of Protest have curated an incredible set of art and activities over the weekend including street art workshops on Front Street, Paint Jams at Carlton Tavern, Mini-Beast Safari at Fishpond Woods, installations at the Windmill, nature and art workshops and music.

You can read our full guide to the festival here. And the official website is here.
AcombFest has a theme of ‘Returning to Nature’ to bring together art, nature and communities.
The team spoke to more than 1,100 and nine local schools to understand Acomb’s rich tapestry of history, flora and wildlife before creating the art.
