York indie icons Shed Seven have announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated seventh studio album.
The self-titled record, Shed Seven, will be released on 8th January 2027 via Cooking Vinyl. To celebrate the announcement, the band has just dropped their brand-new single, ‘Stand Together’.
If you missed out on tickets for their surprise, instantly-sold-out acoustic show at London’s legendary 100 Club tonight, don’t panic.

The band is livestreaming the entire intimate gig, compered by broadcaster Steve Lamacq, so York fans can watch from the comfort of their own sofas.
You can access the livestream link for the 100 Club gig via the band’s official social media channels – check out their website.
The announcement comes during an absolutely massive run for the York five-piece. Back in 2024, they made chart history by scoring their first-ever Number 1 album with A Matter Of Time.
Just ten months later, they did it again with Liquid Gold, cementing their place alongside absolute legends like The Beatles, Elton John, and David Bowie by achieving two UK Number 1 albums within a single calendar year.

Following a triumphant, critically acclaimed Glastonbury set and winning Best Live Act at the Independent Music Awards, frontman Rick Witter says the band is firing on all cylinders.
“We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts,” Rick said.
“The brand new comeback single ‘Stand Together’ shows a statement of intent. It’s a call to arms and a rallying cry for some kind of unity in the world we live in today.”
The band is also gearing up for the massive tenth edition of their beloved ‘Shedcember’ UK tour later this year, bringing things back home to the fans who have supported them across their incredible 30-year career.
Sadly there’s no York gig, but there are tickets left at the time of publication for the concert at Leeds O2 Academy on Sunday, 13 December. More here.
