A serious crash has closed a road south of York this afternoon (Sunday).
Emergency services are at the scene of the collision on the B1222 between Sherburn in Elmet and Cawood.
The road is blocked both ways between New Lennerton Lane and Long Lane. Oxmoor Lane and Scalm Lane which runs across to the B1222 are also closed to help with recovery.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Diversions are in progress and there is likely to be some disruption for sometime.
“Please avoid the area whilst emergency services respond.”
