Discover the hidden gems of the Selby district this weekend – as Selby Area Residents’ Festival returns with big discounts and great offers.
Now in its sixth year, the festival will run today from Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 March and gives residents of Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn in Elmet the chance to discover what’s on their doorstep and be a tourist in their own backyard.
Over the weekend, expect family-friendly offers, special events, guided tours, behind-the-scenes experiences and more.

Ahead of the festival kicking off tomorrow, the YorkMix Roadshow is going on tour for a preview around some of the amazing attractions, shops, cafés and pubs taking part.
Victoria Charles will be broadcasting live from the Mix bus, playing music and meeting people from the district – with a little help from Mixie Monster!
Among the stops for the roadshow were:
- Sherburn Aeroclub
- The Motorist
- Riverside Primary School
- Tadcaster Town
- Doyly’s Tearoom, Bolton Percy
- The Drovers’s Arms, Skipwith
The YorkMix Roadshow will begin and end in central Selby – if you spot us, make sure to come say hello!
To celebrate the festival, there’s also a chance to win a fantastic prize of an overnight stay at The Parsonage Hotel and Spa – check out the details of our competition here.
