Acomb firefighters were called out after a scooter burst into flames in York.
They went to the incident at 12.02am today (Sunday) and found the scooter on fire in a front garden.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The scooter had been thrown there after the occupant and owner of the scooter witnessed it to begin smoking whilst on charge.
“Crew used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.”
