Rock group Super Furry Animals will headline York Museum Gardens this summer.
Returning to the stage after ten years off, Super Furry Animals are back and will appear at Live at York Museum Gardens on Saturday 11 July.
The Welsh band will perform their ageless hits along with off-piste deep cuts from their nine-album strong catalogue.
Celebrating over 30 years together, SFA have a lineup unchanged since day one (save the departure of original frontman Rhys Ifans to the allure of Hollywood): Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, Guto Pryce and the inimitable Gruff Rhys.
Their debut album, 1996’s Fuzzy Logic, featured a heady mix of literary, musical and narcotic influences before album two Radiator, released the following year, gave the five piece their first UK Top Ten Album and propelled Super Furry Animals into the upper echelons of indie psych-pop.
Super Furry Animals join previously announced headliners Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark who will perform at York Museum Gardens on 9th July and Yorkshire’s own boundary-breaking popstar Self Esteem on Friday 10th July.
