Officers investigating a pollution incident at a river at Grafton, near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, have identified a potential source.
Monitoring of Bawter Carr Drain has found about 4km of the watercourse is affected.
Enquiries are ongoing along with work to assess and minimise the impact.
