Police launch investigation after man found with head injury in York city centre

A man has been taken to hospital after being found with a head injury in York city centre this morning (Tuesday).

Police vans and an ambulance were called to Pavement, close to the entrance to Marks and Spencer.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 8am this morning with a report from the ambulance service that a man had been found with a head injury on Pavement in York.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Our enquiries are at a very early stage, and are ongoing today.”
