In what is turning out to be a very intense week for our firefighters, crews are on the scene of a fire at a North Yorkshire farm.
The blaze is in fields at Broughton, near Malton.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A number of crews are attending a fire in a field on Broughton Road, Malton.

“Please be aware of smoke in the area especially if you are travelling on the A64.
“If you can avoid the area please do so.”
Fire crews are helping out at the scene by bringing bowsers of water to the seat of the fire.
It comes a day after dozens of firefighters battled for hours to put out a blaze at Malton Hospital.
