Police investigating an on-pitch incident in York City’s dramatic promotion decider at Rochdale have issued this image.
It happened at the end of the match on Saturday 25 April.
“At the end of the fixture a number of supporters entered the playing area, during which a York player and a Rochdale supporter have come together,” Greater Manchester Police said.

“Officers would like to speak with the male pictured as we believe he can assist with our enquiries.”

Officers are asking anybody who has information or footage to contact them on 101, or via their website, quoting the crime reference number CRI/06PP/0007833/26.

The game finished 1-1 after two goals in added time, with York City’s late equaliser promoting them back to the football league.
