One year on restaurant fire investigation continues

Police have issued an update on the fire at The Star Inn restaurant in Harome

It started just before 10.15pm on Wednesday 24 November last year (2021)

Following the fire, investigators examined the scene and at the time concluded that someone had started it deliberately.

They still believe that is the case.

Today they released this statement:

“Investigations are continuing into the fire at The Star Inn restaurant in Harome.

“It is believed the fire was started deliberately. 

“A man was interviewed in connection with the incident and was released under investigation.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
