Police investigating a suspected hate crime in York have identified a man they want to speak to.
It happened between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday 24 March at York Theatre Royal and involved racially discriminatory language aimed towards staff.
Last month, they released an image of a man they wanted to trace to as part of their enquiries.
Today (Tuesday), they issued this update: “Last month we appealed for information about a man we wanted to speak to about a suspected hate crime in York.
“We have now identified him.
“Thank you to those who supported the appeal.”
